How Can CBD Help?

Sisters CBD knows how daunting finding out what the right CBD dosage is for you. Fear not, we have come up with a simple guide!

For a long time, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) was getting all the attention. In recent years, however, a different cannabinoid has gradually begun to share the limelight with the famed THC, particularly in the medical cannabis community. Its name? Cannabidiol (CBD).

So, what are some of the effects of this lesser known cannabinoid? For starters, it’s non-intoxicating – meaning you won’t feel the usual “high” following consumption. This makes CBD a good choice for day-time use, as well for those who are new to cannabis. CBD oil is an especially popular option for use during the day because of its long-lasting effects and how discreetly it can be consumed.

But what about its potential therapeutic benefits? Medical cannabis patients report using CBD for a plethora of reasons, including to help with the symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and pain1. There is also a growing body of evidence that CBD is a potent anti-epileptic in treatment-resistant epilepsies, such as Dravet and Lennox-Gastaut syndromes2–11. Not only that, but there’s emerging evidence that CBD may be useful in reducing the use of harmful and/or addictive substances such as nicotine or opioids12–14.

Furthermore, CBD is well tolerated, with side effects generally rated as mild to moderate (the most commonly reported being increased sleepiness)2–11.

At Sisters CBD, we pride ourselves on our commitment to the medical cannabis community. That’s why we’re always looking to maintain and improve our selection of high-CBD products in our online shop.

It’s important to consult a healthcare practitioner when making decisions about CBD dosing and consumption methods. Always remember to start low and go slow.

I have been using this CBD oil for a couple of months now and I feel the difference.
I sleep so much better and it has reduced my hip pain.
I will continue to use it.
    Thank you.
